Mr. Simpson was born in Pasadena, California, and was admitted to the California Bar in 1986. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University and his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the San Diego County Bar Association, and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.  

After graduating from law school, Simpson spent several years with Edwards, White & Sooy before founding Simpson Delmore Greene LLP in 1999 with partners Paul J. Delmore and Terence L. Greene. Together, they developed a practice combining their specialties into a firm providing an array of legal services to individuals, the business community, and the construction and insurance industries. 

Simpson has acted as mediator, arbitrator, Judge pro tem, and expert witness. He has tried more than 50 cases to verdict from Contra Costa County in Northern California to the San Diego County Superior Court's southern outpost in Chula Vista. He has mediated and arbitrated hundreds of disputes throughout the state with a high degree of success for his clients. He has had successful results in every type of venue including the Court of Appeals.
